Tommy Butler, Steel Guitarist

was born in Elizabethtown North Carolina. He started playing steel guitar in his family's church at age 20. By age 22 he joined a touring Gospel Group and by age 24 joined his first country band. The country band, Cactus Highway was given an invitation to perform in Nashville TN during Fan Fair. During that trip to Nashville Tommy realized that Nashville was where he wanted to be. At age 26 Tommy moved to Nashville to pursue music. His first gig was with an independent country artist named Michael Harding. Tommy quickly found himself surrounded by the best musicians in the world and knew Nashville was where he was supposed to be.
